Copper Rust Inhibitor

Our copper rust inhibitor is a cutting-edge, environmentally friendly passivation agent designed to protect copper materials from oxidation. Utilizing volatile organic solvents as a carrier, this innovative product forms a dense, ultra-thin passivation film on the copper surface upon immersion. This protective layer effectively combats atmospheric and dust-related corrosion, enhancing the material's resistance to oxidation. Given its volatility, the product is ideal for situations with strict water discharge regulations or in environments where washing and drying are not feasible.

Key Advantages

  • Exceptional Corrosion Resistance: It forms a dense, ultra-thin passivation film that prevents oxidation and maintains copper's appearance for over 1 year in normal atmospheric conditions.
  • Solvent-Based & Self-Drying: No water rinsing or heating required; simply immerse and let dry naturally for fast, energy-efficient processing.
  • Durable & Chemically Resistant: Unlike temporary coatings (e.g., rust-proof oils), the passivation film withstands cleaning with alcohol and detergents without degradation.
  • Easy Maintenance & Cost-Effective: The solution remains stable during use and can be reused without replenishment, reducing operational costs.
  • Environmentally Compliant: Suitable for facilities with strict wastewater regulations due to its volatile, no-rinse formulation.

Recommended Usage

  • Surface Preparation:
    • Ensure copper surfaces are fully cleaned to remove oils, fingerprints, oxides (e.g., patina), or other contaminants.
    • Critical Note: Water-based cleaned parts must be thoroughly dried before immersion to avoid solution contamination.
  • Passivation Process:
    • Submerge the copper workpiece in the inhibitor at room temperature for 5–15 minutes (longer immersion improves protection).
    • Remove and allow to air-dry in a clean environment before handling or packaging.
  • Maintenance:
    • Regularly inspect the solution for clarity. Avoid introducing moisture or foreign particles to maintain efficacy.
